hi guys. looking to get a mk3 golf gti. rang up flux yesterday for a quote. im 19 (nearly 20), driving since i turned 17, with 3 points

basically they wanted £2500 for a standard gti :cry:

one of my mates said his policy actually came down when he told them it was modified. just wandering if anybody of a similar age has any good recommendations for insurance places.

cheers for heads up. my bro is with hic for his mk4 golf. your car is a tidy example mate. liked the look of it in the build thread on old site. just need to sort insurance out first.

im now wit brentacre.

there £300 cheaper than anyone else (inc HIC) and its fully comp not 3rd party.

i can do ANY modification as long as the engine dont exceed 80bhp (standard coupe S is 45bhp) so mk3 GT lump i think

tbh mate if it was me in that situation i wouldn't bother. It's alot of dollar for insurance wait a year then try again. Just get a different car which is cheaper to insure. Btw im with H.I.C im 20 with a mk3 gti 16v
