woo the bodykit is off
Coming off:

The orange is paint to temporarily protect against the elements

This will need some attention

And the final one. Starting to look like a real mk1 again
Image

A quick poke around with a screwdriver and a wire brush and the golf needs:
Drivers rear arch
Patch on passenger rear arch
Patch on passenger sill

anyone have any small black plastic bumpers laying around?
not fussed about the condition as long as they're useable and close to the south bucks area

Luckily it's not as bad as I thought.
Still need to get welding though, then it's on to the fun stuff

some seriously sketchy electrics in there, for instance:
The power for the headunit has been spliced into the fan speed controller.

had a visit from the local bodyshop that has created gems such as:

and need both sills, both rear inner and outer arches, patch in the spare wheel well, patch for passenger inner wing, replacement wings and boot lid.
so while she's in having the welding done also being treated to a full respray.

Hopefully sourced the sills, but on the hunt for rear outer and inner arches, front wings and tailgate.
If anyone has any of that lil list then please get in touch.
Bodyshop is booked for end of the month

Have tried bigboystoys mate? They have quite a list of repair panels.

yeah, they were the first place i checked, but so far managed to find:
driver/passenger sill and rear inner arches for a fraction of the cost from fellow dubbers.
think i might have sourced the wings now, so just need tailgate and rear outer arches then have all the panels ready for the bodywork.

once i've got it all checked out, the electrics are next on the list then MOT and get the brakes upgraded.
anyone have any early mk3 ABF brakes?
