Well im 17 so not got much experience, i have worked part time in a garage (mechanics) but they didnt teach me much, i am currently in college doing mechanics and i have one more exam to pass then i get my level 2 :). In september i am joining northampton college to do car spraying and repair. so yeah not much there but any little job that earns me enough cash to have a half decent dub will do. Thanks

Probably struggle atm mate as no where is taking people on.

Best bet is to just bomb the city with CV's and try your luck.

Sounds good mate, best advice I can offer, is get a good cv sorted with all your current qualifications and college stuff on it. Dress up smart and go to every main dealer in the area and ask to speak the dealer principle/service manager and tell them your looking for an apprenticeship. Give them a cv and all get introduced, be confident but not cocky obviously.

Its a good time of year to be applying for an apprenticeship now so get out there, the motor trade is making a recovery now all be it slowly, very few places in my experience took on apprentices last year so most will be looking to take on this year if its even only one apprentice, that one could be you. Im not being funny but the level of training an main dealer and manufacture can offer you is another level compared to your local college course's trust me.

Best of luck mate, do you have a driving lisence? that can help a bit too in getting a job in a dealership :)

That sounds like a decent start mate. I recently completed my apprenticeship, worked in a couple of Renault dealerships and now work for a Land Rover dealer. Have a search on google and the manufacture websites too, most of them have a section with infomation on apprenticeships, I think theres also a government website for apprenticeships too but no idea how good it is tbh

Get used to the random phone calls too lol, I had loads of them after registering on apprentice websites  They lead to good things though!
