Clamping ...

Postby [BK]Angus » Mon Mar 08, 2010 7:35 pm

So...

3 days a week, I park in the Cable&Wireless offices car park in Bletchley to go to college each day.
The car park is over sized, therefore always only half full (hence all us college folk park in there, leaving still bundles of spaces)
Anyway, C&W were getting pissed off, probably d1ckheads littering and stuff. but there are no signs to say we cannot park there or anything of the sort, so we've continued for nearly 2 years now.

Get into college this morning and my tutor has an email from C&W warning all students to remove their cars as they will be clamping as of today.
So i go down there about an hour after parking up at 9AM. Within this hour, a guy in a silver transit has come and put up about 20 signs warning of clamping and stating the release fees and all the smallprint etc. (these were not there when we all arrived). He has also made a start on clamping every car without a valid C&W parking permit (at least 10 had been done by about 10AM).
I find a handful of cars either side of mine clamped, but mine not?

IT WAS TOO LOW TO FIT A CLAMP ...

The guy gives me the filthiest look, as I drive off laughing.
Way to dodge a £250 fine.

Angus.
