Airfield valkenburg.Same location as last year

Vliegveld Valkenburg
Wassenaarseweg 75 (1e Mientlaan)
2215 GZ
Katwijk aan Zee

YOU HAVE UNTILL THE 14th FEB TO DECIDE IF YOU ARE COMING

We need:

• Numbers, people who are DEFINATELY going.

• Passports, you need to make sure yours is valid!

• Accommodation, Josh is looking into this for us, cost will depend on numbers.

• Ferry, Dover-Calais, probably going to be norfolk line, needs booking sooner rather than later!

• Convoys? probably organized early july!

• Cash for entry, speeding fines, food and other stuff you may want… ;) enough for a few days in Amsterdam and a mad VW show. If you have a credit card, take it an tell your CC company, its safer than using a debit card abroad...

• Train times to Amsterdam, from the hotel, saves driving low dubs into the city.

• Car insurance, are you covered?

• Breakdown cover, we are driving old dubs, does your breakdown policy cover you, what will it cost if you have to get your motor home? :?

• Other legal driving requirements, e.g warning triangles, beam pattern adapters...

• Healthcare (NHS card?). You need one of these to avoid paying incase you need to see a doctor, for whatever reason.

• Basic tools? probably a good idea, anlong with gaffa tape and cable ties and some WD4

• Detailing gear? shiney shiney! 8-)

• Local Driving rules - yeah they drive on the wrong side, but what about speed limits and shizzle, drivers need to know this.

thats all i can think of for now, if we get the ball rollign we can work out costs quickly and plan from there!

Yeah good shout on everything there Alex.

Looked at rooms at its 72 euro per night, but 15 for the extra person, so effectivly 87.

Split this beetween 4 with two bunking its about 23 quid a night, not bad at all for a holiday inn, also this DOESNT include breakfast. There is a swimming pool there though so we can have some late night skinny dipping session  That was Drews suggestion anyway, ill probably just stick to the bar.

Plus, we need to know who is DEFO coming, and whos DRIVING, so we can arrange passangers.

I AM driving, so will happily take 2 others in mine no more due to weight/rubbing. Drew has alread called a shot if his MK2 aint up and running, and also possibly Phil.

Anyway, any more suggestions, ideas, essentials then post them up :D

Well hopefully I should know the score with the golf well before the show, but im hoping its going to make the trip, but at the end of the day, if im not happy with it, it aint going to be going :(

As said, hotel is 87euros a night based on 2 sharing, with the possibility of an extra 2 bunking in the room and then kipping on the floor. Using the discount code given on Edition38 you can get the ferry crossing at £26 return per car at the moment, as for how long that offer will run is unknow but most the lads have paid about these prices in previous years.

Ive been told public transport to the Dam is good and cheap and know so from my personal experience too, its just a case that if some of us want to hit up the Dam for the Monday/Tuesday if people are fine to comute in, which would be a bit of a ballache for the nightlife, or move to a hotel closer to city. However central Amsterdam is manic and you would not want to drive there for shit lol.

Do we want a hotel on the outskirts of the 'dam then? Something off a main road so it's easy to get to, and yet within a short taxi ride of the town centre...
