Had a spare few hours over the last couple of days so thought i'd do this:
This was a couple of hours on wednesday

and a couple more hours today

and finally out:

you're probably wondering why it took so long and why i didn't use a crane.
well firstly i was doing this on my own and secondly, this was the amount of space i had to work with:

Had to be real careful not to hit any of the other cars or welding equipment around me
planning on getting the majority of the bay cleared and the brakes removed to start refurbing the steering rack etc
Also picked up some new brakes for the upped power:

vauxhall (excuse my language) v6 callipers with G60 280mm discs and some nice shiny new brake lines
Was pretty stoked when they lined up to the mk1 hubs without the need for adaptors
just need a clean along with the hubs
Recently i was offered an A3 1.8t with light front damage and as it came with some pretty tasty coillies, audi RS4 18" alloys with pretty much brand new tyres, Forge dump valve and Forge shallow armoured sump it got my attention.
Plus as my mk4 owning friend wanted the coillies and uprated anti roll bars he was willing to go halves.
so far have this and replaced with my standard part

and just need to get my sump off and get hold of the armoured one.
The rest of the A3 is being put back together to replace my other friends mk4 with a blown engine which is a bit of shame because driving it back was pretty exciting.
Definitely stoked on putting the 1.8t in something lighter
