Recently an avid member of this forum and fellow KOD'er expressed his interested in buying himself a 'nice' car. Fed up with sub 500 quid junk boxes which need full rebuilds from ground up, extensive chemical cleaning services to remove smells of dog etc, fed up with defending un-cool whips and barrages of 'when you gunna build a car', he has decided to plough a reasonable amount of money into a more modern, fast, new-skool, lower maintenance vehicle.
Excellent I thought, time for him to get something he can cherish, buy expensive cleaning products for, clean on a sunday, modify on a rolling basis and generally roll around in something to be proud off.
Problem is, and its a big one, considering his vast knowledge of all things automotive he's decided he wants Seat Ibiza Cupra.
Now don't get me wrong reasonable tunable motor, turbo lumps and all that but really a man of his ilk can do far better for potential new motor ideas... please help this man choose something, anything with a little more 'soul' than one of these siesta wagon's.
All potential VAG and non VAG suggestions that can be bought for around the 4k mark that have more 'va va voom' than the above will be greatly received.
Help save a performance enthusiast who's lost his way...
