wherever you read there is a different answer. it is a huge grey area and there is no definitive answer where its legal or not.

it all depends on the policeman at the end of the day. the main excuse from a safety aspect would be that the wheel is sticking out and if you hit someone they could get dragged into the wheel arch. highly unlikely but an excuse that has been used.

i have done countless hours of searching as im putting on my new wheels. as long as your polite and explain your side and dont get arsey with their opinion ou should be ok. getting riled up with only make things worse if pulled over.

yeah it doe ssound like it dpends whom pulls you over! i have had loads of coppes behind me and havent bin stopped but on the odd occasion.....!

tbh its true saying that as long as u aint a complete and utter twat about it normally they look around your car make a couple complements and say it must have cost u loads and then do one!

Grey area mate, if you get a jobs worth copper you might get your arse ridden, if you get a decent guy and act cool with them they're normally ok. Just avoid police hot spots where they like to make you an easy target aint it.

apparently its allowed 30mm of poke as long as its not poking out due to spacers and/or adapters
