Soon to be back in a dub it seems

Postby Lozi » Tue Feb 16, 2010 8:42 pm

Its been a while since i have been on here mainly because my project thread disapeared and i couldnt be assed to re do it lol, i sold my VR6 to my mate who has carried on modding it and its now 100 times better than when i had it!

I sold the VR as i didnt think it was really the car for me and i wanted another cossie so i bought a shitreon zx to smoke about in for abit and crashed it into a telegraph pole followed seconds later by getting hit up the arse by my mate lol

SO its now cossie time again rite? wrong! i really miss my VR and going in it when my mate comes and picks me up sometimes sitting in the back is a piss take lol

The plan is to get myself a Mk2 Jetta GTi and 2.9 it, i want a 16v idealy but finding a 90 spec 16v thats not silly money is hard, even the 8v's are going for alot :(

If anybody knows of a decent 90 spec jetta GTi for sale please let me know, and a cheap cheap corrado VR6 also as a doner cheers lol

Welcome back mate!

Sounds like youve been have pretty shit luck lately man. I think you'll struggle to find a 90 spec valver jetta for decent money, may aswell just get a 8v gti and then you'll be commited to VR'ing it

Yeah the reason for a valver would be because i havent totally set my mind on VR'n it im also trying to find out what options i have fast valver wise, not many that i can see tbh so i will probably end up with an 8v.

I need 90spec as it makes the VR change slightly easier wiring wise and i want big bumps etc

Yeah defo mate, Fast valvers are good fun, but i'd probally just try and find the best 90spec shell possible and worry about the rest later lol.

Check out the Mk2Vr6 owners club website mate. Im pretty sure you want a 90spec mk2 gti running digifant for the easyiest conversion. Buying the carb engine ones makes life more difficult I think. They've got loads of decent info on there about the conversion.
