For sale,
1988 vw scirocco, 1.6 GT, 92000 miles
Up for sale is my much loved vw scirocco, due to to many cars i now need to get rid of it. My brother and i have owned it for the last five years, its been very reliable, used every day untill approx a month ago.
6months MOT, currently SORN.

Its fitted with lowered suspension (sport dampers and springs) 60mm i think but cant be sure
The body is generally very good, there are several small rust spots on the doors and other areas, but there is no major rust areas, the boot area is spotless (see photo!).
The mechanicals are working however they will require some attention, the engine runs perfectly, however the RH front weel bearing/hub has alot of play so i suspect it will need to be replaced.
The brakes are fine, i replaced the front calipers with golf GTI calipers 6 months ago, it is also fitted with groved and drilled discs. The handbrake also has no problems holding the car.
The interior is generally in good condition, it needs a clean and the seat cloth is worn through on the drivers seat bolster. The headlining has seen better days at the back near the rear window, and has come detached from the rear of the sunroof. (should just slip back under the trim though!)

Good Points:
Body is solid
Engine runs really well
All instruments and dials working perfectly
Tyres all in good condition (new fronts just after christmas)
Looks very good
Sports steering wheel
Uprated brakes
New exhaust backbox 6 months ago, front pipe is relatively new also

Bad points:
RH wheel bearing/Hub play
Front suspension could probably do with an ovehaul
tracking rod slightly bent on steering rack (passed MOT with this though)
Some small rust spots
Tracking is out
Some areas of paint imperfection (a couple of scuffs, and some laquer peel)

Would make a really good daily with a small ammount of work, or a very solid base for a project!
